| Transcripts: New Scholarships! The Lems Auto Recyclers Scholarship encourages students to enter the automotive field. This scholarship will be awarded annually to an incoming student enrolled in the Auto Body, Automotive Service & Body Technology, Automotive Service, or Automotive Service Technology programs. The HTC Communications Scholarship encourages students from HTC's service communities to pursue post-secondary education. Recipients must be a current resident of Hospers, Sheldon, Ashton, or Sibley. The Ag Processing, Inc. Scholarship encourages students to pursue careers in the agri-business industry. This scholarship is for students who have applied and been accepted (or currently enrolled) in the Industrial & Commercial Wiring, Industrial Instrumentation & Control, or Bio-Fuels Controls Technician programs. The Vander Haag's, Inc. Truck & Diesel Scholarship has been established to encourage and assist students to become truck and diesel technicians. The Osceola Electric Cooperative, Inc. Scholarship encourages students to pursue careers in the energy distribution field. Recipients must be accepted (or currently enrolled) in the Powerline or Powerline Technology program at NCC. The purpose of the American Cancer Society Health Scholarship is to recognize students with a sincere passion for a healthcare career. Preference may be given if the applicant or an immediate family member has been diagnosed with cancer. The Cain, Ellsworth & Co., LLC Accounting Scholarship has been established to encourage students to pursue a career in Accounting at Northwest Iowa Community College. The Dennis Van Wyk Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Dennis Van Wyk by his wife, Gert, and their children. Denny was a long-time member of the Truck & Diesel Technology Program Advisory Committee and hired several graduates from the program. The purpose of the Sibley State Bank Scholarship is to provide a financial opportunity to a deserving Sibley-Ocheyedan High School senior that plans on pursuing their post-secondary education at Northwest Iowa Community College in either a career or college transfer program. The purpose of the Wolff, Whorley De Hoogh, & Schreurs Scholarship is to recognize the sacrifices of our Armed Forces veterans.
If the applicant has been out of high school for more than five years, their current NCC cumulative grade point average will be considered first. If they do not have an NCC GPA, their high school GPA will be used. |
