Northwest Iowa Community College is in the process of constructing the Northwest Iowa Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center. The facility will be located on the east side of campus, off of College Drive.  This initiative is in direct response to the College’s planning processes, strategic initiatives and continued enrollment growth.  NCC’s vision is to become the community college of choice for learning.  To make this vision a reality, we will need to continue to enhance facilities and programs that support the needs of students as well as the workforce needs of the area.

The Northwest Iowa Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center is very close to becoming a reality for NCC and the area through great collaboration.  Through partnerships between the College, the City of Sheldon, Sanford Sheldon Medical Center and with the help of private donations and a 1.1 million dollar Vision Iowa Grant, the result will be a state-of-the-art facility that will provide years of recreation and enhanced learning to the area.

We will be posting photos on this page so you can follow along with the construction of the Rec Center.  We are planning to open in the spring of 2011.
